Dear John The CONServative

John, John, John. You are towing the public line of the CONServatives. There is absolutely no separatist influence on this coalition. The only thing they have done is sign an agreement that will not vote against an NDP-Liberal coalition for 18 months. In exchange, as part of the proposed stimulus package, The Province of Quebec will receive around $1-$2 Billion in transfer payments. All provinces will be receiving goodies in their package. Duceppe can gain some clout in Quebec by proclaiming “Look what I got for La Belle Province.” Truth is that if it had been any party representing Quebec they would have gotten the same.

Now as for what people said in the last election was as follows:

We the people have voted. The consensus has decided that the Conservatives are to rule with the assistance of all opposition parties. The vote result says that people do not entrust the governance of the land to any one party. They expect a governance based on consensus and cooperation of all parties.

Now lets look at the Conservative party. Before they were called Conservatives, they were mostly known as the Reform Party, and could nary garner an elected official east of Winnipeg. Then along comes a lying sack of shit known as Peter McKay who says that he won’t merge with the Reform and what does he do days after becoming leader of the Progressive Conservatives?

Why he merges his meager party into the Reform and the Conservatives are born. Why did he do it? He saw that his party was bankrupt and that he had no chance of ever being in government. He sold his soul and lied to create a Reform Party that did a simple name change to get elected. Marketing 101 at its best.

Canadians have been duped. The popular vote of the last election showed that 38% of the voters voted for Harper, 62% voted non-Conservative. He has no mandate to abolish taxpayer political contributions, no mandate to remove legislation for pay equity, and no mandate to ban unions from striking.

He was trying to offer up a heavy-handed approach to destroy the opposition and was acting as if he was in a majority.

The opposition is within its full constitutional right to be taking these actions. The Conservatives have taken the loss of their confidence in Parliament and propagandized it into a National Unity Issue. This is a deflection of the real issues and as about as sleazy and slimy way to do business. Shame on the leadership of the government of Canada.

You can throw out your little temper tantrum but when you look at the facts there is no question that Harper and his CONServatives are rallying the troops around a bullshit cause. I am amazed he was able to suck you in. You seem smarter than that.
