Is the USA is the new Weimar Republic?

In yesterday’s blog entry I talked about the end of the World as we know it. Now to further back this up, here is a story that was run on CNN Headline News by Glenn Beck. I have no reason to think he is lying. For if he is, he should be locked up! Unfortunately for all of us he is telling the truth.

He has, on authority from a high ranking bank official, that this is the end days of the economy and that collapse is imminent A repeat of the Weimar Republic. If you don’t know your history then get an edumakashun Jethro, cuz it is scary stuff.

North America has gone broke because the collective we have lived on credit to buy our fancy houses, autos, and electronics. In our need to have it all now and pay later we have broke the bank.

Society has become lazy. Instead of working hard and saving our money, we have bought goods on credit that we can’t afford to pay back. This brings a whole new meaning to the phrase Payback’s a Bitch.

Is Iceland the Mini-Me of North America?

As a microcosm of what we may face look at Iceland. This is a free and open capitalistic society that had a complete financial crash. The banks are broke, the government is broke, and they can’t get credit anywhere. Further, grocery stores are becoming depleted and no one from Europe or North America will export food to them.

Scary times indeed.

UPDATE:Russia has bailed out Iceland with a loan. This was done purely for military strategic purposes. Perhaps the Ruskies will win the cold war after all?
