Welcome to Billy Ball… Is Bill Gates Insane?

No I am not talking about the ole Yankee skipper, Billy Martin…I am talking about Microsoft Chairman, Bill Gates…has he lost his marbles? Should he be checked into the Puzzle Factory and given a bed alongside Britney Spears?

$45 billion with a ‘b’. That is what Gates Inc has offered to buy out the beleaguered former search engine giant. On the eve of when Yahoo! was supposed to lay off 1200 staff, Microsoft comes in with an astronomical offer. WOW…what Bill Gates wants Bill Gates gets.

His company already owns the number 3 search engine, and with this purchase he will own the number 2 search engine…all of this in an effort to take on the behemoth, Google.

Why is he doing this? Is he the envious rich kid that says he has to have it all? Hell why didn’t he make a play on Google? He has the clout to do it. Maybe he wants to have some fun in his middle-age…

The reality of it all is Gates will make this money back 10 times over. Here is a fact: Over the next 2 years large corporations are expected to at least double, if not triple their online advertising budgets. Gates knows this and is positioning his company to take full advantage of it.

In my opinion it is good to see one giant slugging it out with another. You have to love capitalism! Here is a song that pay tribute to all of the nice little Capitalists…Billy this one’s for you!
