Hey all. Thanks to this developing story between Scribd and StomperNet, my traffic has seen a dramatic increase. It only took me 17 hours…or less to get a double listing in the number 2 slot on Google.
The reason I say less is because from the time I said I was going for a double listing up until this blog entry, I had been sleeping so it could have been earlier.
Sometimes traffic comes from situations that you have no control over, but you can use it to your advantage by grabbing a develoing story and running with it. I sort of feel like a News Reporter. Maybe that is my calling?
Anyway, it is interesting to see how using a real-world story, that falls in your lap, translates into building traffic and sharing my experiences with all of you. If you want to learn the details on how to get to the top of Google with a double listing, please check out my article: How I Got to the Top of Google in Less than a Month

1I love the rather dubious sense that you’re leading people on your own discovery of self-awesomeness. In all honest, this might be new territory for you, but you’re doing nothing remarkable. Getting to the top of a Google search is one of the easiest things in the world to do. You’re pretty young, huh?
