17 Hours to Get a Double Listing on Google

Hey all. Thanks to this developing story between Scribd and StomperNet, my traffic has seen a dramatic increase. It only took me 17 hours…or less to get a double listing in the number 2 slot on Google.

The reason I say less is because from the time I said I was going for a double listing up until this blog entry, I had been sleeping so it could have been earlier.

Sometimes traffic comes from situations that you have no control over, but you can use it to your advantage by grabbing a develoing story and running with it. I sort of feel like a News Reporter. Maybe that is my calling?

Anyway, it is interesting to see how using a real-world story, that falls in your lap, translates into building traffic and sharing my experiences with all of you. I love the rather dubious sense that you’re leading people on your own discovery of self-awesomeness. In all honest, this might be new territory for you, but you’re doing nothing remarkable. Getting to the top of a Google search is one of the easiest things in the world to do. You’re pretty young, huh?
