Personally wouldn't do this becausae besides being illegal it's also pretty tacky. Then again, who really wants the FBI or some feds showing up on their doorstep because they're defacing currency???

I'll give you a better tip that's similar.... Whenever you send your bills in to be processed, write your URL in red ink on the statement !! :-) It has the same effect but it's not illegal.

I did look up the US law on this and although it is illegal, it is generally not enforced. The Maximum fine for this is $500.00.

So I will offer up a disclaimer and say that this article is for entertainment purposes only. It is not to be taken seriously. Tatumba.com and the Mad Ape does not condone illegal activity.

Although, I suspect that to some it will be considered a cost of doing business. Besides my currency is in bananas and I can write on my peels and there is not a damn thing you or any government can do about it.

==============================================
CHAPTER 25--COUNTERFEITING AND FORGERY

Sec. 475. Imitating obligations or securities; advertisements

Whoever designs, engraves, prints, makes, or executes, or utters, issues, distributes, circulates, or uses any business or professional
card, notice, placard, circular, handbill, or advertisement in the likeness or similitude of any obligation or security of the United States issued under or authorized by any Act of Congress or writes, prints, or otherwise impresses upon or attaches to any such instrument, obligation, or security, or any coin of the United States, any business or professional card, notice, or advertisement, or any notice or
advertisement whatever, shall be fined under this title.

(June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 706; July 16, 1951, ch. 226, Sec. 2, 65 Stat. 122; Pub. L. 103-322, title XXXIII, Sec. 330016(1)(G), Sept.
13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2147.)

Historical and Revision Notes

Based on title 18, U.S.C., 1940 ed., Sec. 292 (Mar. 4, 1909, ch.321, Sec. 177, 35 Stat. 1122).
Enumeration of obligations of the United States was omitted in view of definition in section 8 of this title.

Amendments

1994--Pub. L. 103-322 substituted ``fined under this title'' for ``fined not more than $500''.
1951--Act July 16, 1951, prohibited use of notices or advertising prints or labels on United States coins.

Normally I would let this slide but you have crossed the line.

I have been called a lot of things but terrorist is not one of them. Are you for real? How do you make the leap from writing a domain name on a piece of paper to terrorist?

Oh I see, you are one of those types of human that see a terrorist around every corner.

Give me a freakin' break. I DO support this 100% because there is nothing wrong with it. Have you not seen a bank teller write numbers on a stack of money? Have you not seen the website to which Loogie referred to? There is also a Canadian version of the same site.

People write on money. Get over it. What is the government going to do? Round up all of the evil-doers of the money writing world and confiscate their pens?

As far as contradictions go...you are a contradiction. A combination of wit with a heaping help of paranoia.

A terrorist? Shheesssh!

Well now they can, legally. Are you a terrorist?? Probably, because you're thinking and agreeing with defacing American property. Nice going.

Maybe businesses should write their trademarks on every bill that comes through their stores.

Obviously the government would fine you and or either sentence you a prison term. It's not allowed to you if everyone else isn't allowed.

Tatumba, you better stay clear from this or risk being reported that you encourage this illegal activity.

It's better to stay professional and support good causes like the "The Hunger Site" then to support illegal activities and fight for charities goodwill. It's contradictory. Either one or the other.

This has been going on for a few years now. Have you not seen www.wheresgeorge.com written on a bill?

What will happen? Will the Secret Service break down your door and arrest you?

I like this idea!
