Happy Birthday Tatumba
Yahoo for me! I started this website approximately 1 year ago. When I first launched it, it was to promote one affiliate program…AGLOCO. I recruited approximately 3000 affiliates but it was all for not.
Although AGLOCO is dead, my site lives on and has grown.
The Mad Ape Blog
Back in September 2007, I switched the format to blogging and changed my focus to helping others help themselves through blogging about blogging to make money. I know I deviate it from that a lot, but I have said that I would do that from Day 1.
Income has started to be generated from this site. Although I am hesitant to reveal exact numbers and sources, currently I am making approximately $100.00 per month from this site. My net expenditures on a per month basis are approximately $20.00 so I have already turned this into a profit machine.
Not a good paying job
Blogging for income is not an easy job. It is hard and sometimes frustrating, but mainly a rewarding experience. I have made mistakes along the way, but I have learned from them. I did refer to this as a job…really it is not. If I considered this work, I would have packed it in a long time ago. To me, this is fun and entertaining. The fact that I can now make some money off of it is a bonus.
Goals for 2008
I have spent significant time promoting affiliate programs and will continue to bring forward new opportunities for bloggers.
But that being said I am going to shift my focus for 2008. I want to bring you good, unique content that you can use to make you a better blogger.
Saying and delivering are two different things but putting my goals on here sort of gives me the motivation to put up or shut up. I do not know the meaning of quit.
Where will this content come from? From my day-to-day experiences, research, talking to others, etc. Trying to find something to say that has not been said 10 different ways before my not always be possible but I will do my best. There is always ways to improve on trends in this competitive marketplace.
If anything I hope that I have been entertaining. Besides with my Mad Ape rants how can you go wrong?
Happy New Year!
