Where I live Boxing Day is a holiday and stores must remain closed. Only businesses such as restaurants, pharmacies, convenience stores, gas stations, bars, and movie theaters can open.

I think it is great. It gives us an extra day to enjoy the company of family and friends before the craziness of ‘Boxing Week’ begins. Funny how it is no longer a day…but an entire week. Consumerism has run rampant.

Anyway I will be out and about checking out the sales but I am not desperate enough to wait in line for 10 - 15 hours so I can get a chance to get a door-crasher special. I will leave that for the dedicated shoppers.
