Laboratory scientist Dean Radin describes an experiment testing the relationship between mind and matter. In this experiment, random number generators are used to test whether collective human attention corresponds to a change in the physical environment.

It could have gone south in a hurry, perhaps a holiday visit to the dentist or some time spent in the hoosegow, but instead I found a better way, door number three as I tell my tai chi students, not force against force and not yielding, but a third, creative alternative.

Afrocentrism. Eurocentrism. Caribbean Studies. British Studies. To the forces of cultural nationalism hunkered down in their camps, this bold hook sounds a liberating call. There is,Paul Gilroy tells us, a culture that is not specifically African, American, Caribbean, or British, but all of these at once, a black Atlantic culture whose themes and techniques transcend ethnicity and nationality to produce something new and, until now, unremarked. Challenging the practices and assumptions of cultural studies, The Black Atlantic also complicates and enriches our understanding of modernism.
Debates about postmodernism have cast an unfashionable pall over questions of historical periodization. Gilroy bucks this trend by arguing that the development of black culture in the Americas arid Europe is a historical experience which can be called modern for a number of clear and specific reasons. For Hegel, the dialectic of master and slave was integral to modernity, and Gilroy considers the implications of this idea for a transatlantic culture. In search of a poetics reflecting the politics and history of this culture, he takes us on a transatlantic tour of the music that, for centuries, has transmitted racial messages and feeling around the world, from the Jubilee Singers in the nineteenth century to Jimi Hendrix to rap. He also explores this internationalism as it is manifested in black writing from the “double consciousness” of W. E. B. Du Bois to the “double vision” of Richard Wright to the compelling voice of Toni Morrison.
In a final tour de force, Gilroy exposes the shared contours of black and Jewish concepts of diaspora in order both to establish a theoretical basis for healing rifts between blacks and Jews in contemporary culture and to further define the central theme of his book: that blacks have shaped a nationalism, if not a nation, within the shared culture of the black Atlantic.

This theory appears ridiculous yet plausible and understandable. However, what are the practical implications of a global consciousness interconnected with all of global matter? I can’t think of any.

I mean that all objects/subjects exist in all dimensions.

@MaBu888 What do you mean ‘if the tapes have 5d’? The tapes are just ordinary tapes, like any other except that the data on them is unobserved. It has recorded data generated by the RNG but in the absence of any observer. The data exists in a state of quantum indeterminacy until it is collapsed by an observer. What would be acceptable to you as determining that the tapes ‘have 5d’?

@archdeaconj
I say all that kinda. But I am not certain in my mind. I think I will be surprised by the situation as it is with the tapes. If the tapes have 5d, then all does, which I believe (belief is 4D, right) is the case.

@MaBu888 Well hang on a minute. You’re saying the there is a 5th dimention (and maybe more) which is all possible events – all the roads we didn’t go down, as well as the one we did. Also you’re saying all these possible events EXIST somewhere, in some way (it’s not just metaphorical). You’re also saying, I think, that Radin’s (and Helmut’s) tape has 5th dimensional data on it (many possibilities) that is collapsed into lower dimentional data by the consciousness of the observer. Yes?

@archdeaconj
For example, a deeply contemplative experience of a deep piece of art, or of deep spiritual experiences amount to something similar to 5D experiences. For example, try to use your most artistic aspect to imagine the most amount of experiences of a single artwork simultaneously. This is close to a 5D experience. Another one is dreams where you experience ethereal existence where physicality and nonphysicality merge into a single, homogenous expression.

@archdeaconj
5th dimension – the perspective you have of an object of which you see 5 simultaneous ‘angles’ of. You see its length, width, height, duration and its span in 5D space as all or many of its possible mutated expressions, as one idea, for at that level of consciousness, ideas and objects are the same, where one ends the other begins, but not even like that. Without mathematics, as you can see, the description goes into lala land. Very spiritually real lala land, though.

Yes, a realm of possibilities, also, a functional ‘timeless’ ether. Another ‘higher’ space. The true Now.

@MaBu888 Can we establish what you mean by the 5th dimension? The 4th dimension is time, of course (the other three being the spatial dimensions of the everyday world). This is standard physics. Are you postulating a 5th dimension which is a realm of possibilities?

It is most notable that Radin and Randi are anagrams of each other. Most synchronistic and indicative of a polarity, my friends/brothers/lovers. Much love and heterosexual indio etheric kisses to you all, you men you, you women you. Love awaits in the Now. Grasp only the threads so that you could bind them with your consciousness. Salutation concluded.

Apologies for responding to posts made a year ago. Intuition is higher in terms of levels of consciousness than the mental mind. The mental mind/body can process only 3D information and semi-high emotions. Intuition is a gateway.

Research the actual claims of Nikola Tesla for further information on how telepathy might work, technically speaking. Or simply imagine longitudinal waves that travel in a higher dimensional medium in an immediate speed, much like ‘subspace’ in star trek.

I think the data is already on tape because in the 5th dimension there is a perfect template for any and all physical events, including every possible detail of any reality that is truly relevant to the observer. In other words belief, intention and realities are criscrossable both as definitions and as definable by crystalline bridges that are unbreakable, due to such bridges being manifest in 5D physicality that in new age terms is known as the etheric realm.

Normally, scientists haven’t mastered their consciousness beyond the mental level, so they have no say on spiritual and psychic matters, unless they have experiences. Although they do have a say on how well people do in artificially objective experiments where the emotionally activated effects of psychic phenomena are conveniently ignored. No reply necessary.

This is the kind of science that we need more of. Pushing the boundries. Science becomes religion when it stops moving forward. There is always more to discover.

The problem with this whole line of experiementation (aside from the fact that the data is cherry picked and sketchy) is the fact that they assume it’s an effect of conciouness when there is no real definition of conciouness and no way of proving or disproving that it is conciouness that is having an effect.

@Fangornmmc Don’t belive that the stuff in the secret or “what the bleep do we know” has any basis in realisty. The water freezing into beautiful or ugly crystals is a BS artistic effort, “ugly” and “beautiful” crystal were picked out after the fact based upon the word. Quatum mechanics has absolutely nothing to do with “making your own reality” and anyone who says so is tryign to make thier stuff sound better by wrapping it with pseudoscience.

@DoctorTachyon well tbh I’d like to see the opinions of other scientists, you seem to think your some sort of a visionary or something. there are lots of unexplained parts of science and lots of proposed solutions, your drawing conclusions too quickly

arthur, compliments. i do agree: an act of consciousness instead of reacting. that’s all what’s important. all the rest will come by itself then, no need to feel attached to the outcome.
so, thanks.

reading these comments makes me kind of sad. i mean really so what if they are spending their money anyway its the thought that someone in front of you thought about you with good hopes that you will think about the person behind you. it is kind and who cares about capitalism and all that shit they were going to get your money either way

Don’t judge an act of kindness.
Australiano75
September 10th, 2010 at 8:59 am
This is not an act of kindness, its a line of people who already have money who are just spending on other people who have money. Also the company benefits of it with a surplus of money. This is every capitalists dream. how about trying to buy coffee for the poor, not somone who just has a car and has money to spend it at a coffee shop.

A) You still have to pay for a drink
B) What happens if you don’t like the coffee you receive.
C) Easier to buy your own.

It’s mainly the consistency of the kind gesture. There could have been someone that decided to not pay for the one behind him and the whole thing might have ended.
