BP protest, Orange Beach Alabama on day 54. We attended a rally to stop BP from using the dispersants and for local governments/people to block off the pass into Perdido Bay before it too is contaminated. Little to no media coverage! Really sad. Imagine if it was your backyard…

Thanks James for taking the time to give more exposure to this atrocity!!!! We are alllllll responsible to a degree by our consumptian. The question we EACH need to take a hard and not tooo long look at is “How much are you willing to sacrifice or inconvenience yourself to TRANSITION to an alternative energy means???” Morally the choice is and has been….evident.

“Imagine if it was your back yard” It is my backyard, I understand how bad it is, Ive gone to this beach every year since I was born, I’m nearly 17. I’ve been to Perdido pass, I’ve picked up a tar ball and felt it, I’ve seen the oil. Stay out of the cleanup crews way, don’t question them, let them do what they want, they’re as clueless of you, they’re taking a chance for a job. Protest Corporate, not people.

My main concern is for the locals. Their livelihood and their health. The eatable marine life that would be ingested by humans and make them sick or cause their death. The affected noneatable marine life and the environment. Who wants their area to be covered with toxic sludge that may be seeping into the water system!?! Who wants innocent animals to suffer and die!?! I absolutely agree with Probesoul, Obama had all the information, it wasn’t a priority to him, too busy creating his beloved NWO.

Petroleum companies are a real piece of work. True to their nature, they try to cover up their mistakes with the hopes that we will forget in ten years. I don’t think we’ll forget this screw up anytime soon, though…

We need to drive more electric cars. (I don’t think we really need oil as much as we believe. We have the technology to do away with many fossil fuel burning engines.)

Pollution from pumping, refining & burning oil is one of the biggest problems yet its demand remains high. People don’t care about anything but themselves

I don’t think that any boycott (especially if only done in the US) or fingerpointing towards the British is going to help here because that is just not constructive. Remember that those BP engineers were all Americans and that the platform had previously belonged to another oil company. It doesn’t matter who’s fault it is. It needs to get fixed! Obama was way out of line with his disgusting 9/11 remark. That’s implying that the British are terrorists.
